California, or more specifically San Diego, is home to the largest zoo in the world (San Diego Zoo). Plenty of greenery, a variety of animals that live in places as close as possible to their usual habitat, a convenient route, and well-groomed facilities are just a few of the advantages of visiting the most famous zoo.
And, of course, it is here that you can learn a lot of interesting things about a variety of animals. Not far from it, in Escondido, is the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, which is rightfully considered the best park of its kind on the planet. Another interesting zoo is located in Fresno (Fresno Chaffee Zoo), and The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Desert, where the bulk of the animals are inhabitants of the African savannah, is also worth a visit.
There are also wonderful objects in sunny California, thanks to which you can learn more about marine life. One such place is the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where visitors can see a variety of fish, jellyfish, crabs, and turtles that live in the Monterey Bay. The excursion program is complemented by entertainment: here you can see amazing shows with the participation of sea animals that will impress everyone from small to large. San Francisco has a wonderful Sea Lion Center, which is an open space with sea lions and seals that are willing to make contact with people. Another interesting place for animal lovers is located in Bakersfield, we are talking about the California Area Living Museum (or simply CALM).
