Foam concrete is a solid building material with a cellular structure made by modern technology. Excellent qualitative characteristics made it very popular for the construction of various buildings and structures. Of course, many, out of habit, prefer cottages from the beam at home, but the new material also managed to occupy its niche in this segment.
The material was developed specifically for the purposes of low -rise construction and has all the necessary properties, which made it popular. In many qualitative characteristics, foam concrete surpasses other well -known building materials. Cellular concrete is used for the construction of houses, cottages, sheds, garages, other outbuildings. Of course, for construction, you need to use exclusively high -quality blocks that were made using the right technology.
In many ways, foam concrete is similar to wood, but at the same time has a high level of fire resistance. The tree, as you know, is light -flavored, and needs additional protection to avoid fire. Foam blocks are distinguished by a high level of sound insulation, better than that of wood, concrete and brick. Noise protection is provided by the porous structure of the material, the cells of which are filled with air. The same feature helps maintain heat.
Modern houses from foam blocks are economical. It will be cheaper to build them than a similar building made of wood or brick. A good microclimate is preserved in the structure of cellular concrete. The building retains pleasant coolness in the summer and warmth in the cold. In addition, building material is environmentally friendly, since it does not emit harmful toxic substances into the environment. In this parameter, foam blocks surpasses only wood.
It is worth noting that foam concrete is different from aerated concrete. Its manufacture is carried out using another technology. The building material includes sand, cement, water and foaming agents. When stirring these components, a ready -made mixture forms mechanically, which acquires a cellular structure when solidifying. Closed pores are responsible for lightweight, excellent sound insulation and thermal insulation, but do not allow to penetrate moisture or dust inside the finished block, maintaining its monolithic and the strength of the wall. The pores are always open, so the scope of its use is limited.
Building materials are highly durable, but experts do not recommend building a house above 3 floors from it. Initially, such foam blocks were created precisely for low -rise construction.
