The appearance of the ceiling of any room should look aesthetically pleasing, neat and serve as a real decoration of the interior of the room. Therefore, spots, cracks, defects and various irregularities on the ceiling surface are not acceptable. With a great desire, it is possible to make the ceiling even without much difficulty and loss of time of time.
Nowadays, two methods of aligning the ceiling surface – “raw” and “dry” are most popular. The “raw” method consists in applying special solutions and mixtures to a carefully prepared ceiling surface. “Sukhoi” involves the use of dry facing materials – panels, plates, racks, etc. If the surface difference in height is less than 5 cm, then the use of the “raw” method is possible. With a small difference in heights, which do not exceed 0.5 cm, it is better to use putty, which is smeared on the ceiling, and after hardening is polished with sandpaper.
If the slopes of the height are about 3 cm, then the putty will not give a good result. In this case, you can not do without a metal and painting reinforcing grid. A painting grid resembling gauze is glued with PVA. The metal mesh is attached with special nails with large hats and is used for the middle layer of plaster (3 – 4 cm). After the putty dries, apply the finish putty layer. With subsequent painting the ceiling, a primer layer is applied. In order to improve the quality of the ceiling repair, it is recommended to use the finishing materials of one manufacturer. This will ensure the “compatibility” of materials.
It should be noted that the “raw” method is a very laborious process that is characterized by many inconvenience. In the absence of the possibility of aligning the ceiling with a “raw” method, it is better to resort to the installation of a false flow – a decorative structure that completely hides the ceiling plate. Experts of this method attribute to dry, since it is characterized by a lack of dirt during finishing work.
Today there are three ways to install a false flow: a suspended ceiling, a stretch ceiling or lining the ceiling surface. The casing process looks like this.
