Many people think that it is enough to choose high-quality paint, and it will last years, but, after a while, fire-retardant paint from the tag-metall in places changes the shade or completely begins to lag behind. A person who faced such a problem, of course, decides that he did not buy high -quality paint. But in fact, not everything depends on the correct choice of paint. No less important stage – preparing the base before painting.
Preparation of the base
Before starting the color, the surface should be examined. It should be clean, dry and even. If plaster or paint is applied to the surface, then you need to make sure that the old coating is reliable (otherwise new paint can lag behind with the old coating). This can be done by tapping, thus, weaknesses in the coating are determined. To check the reliability of the old paint, you need to take the tape, glue it, it to the surface and abruptly tear it off.
The base can have a porous structure and, therefore, absorb moisture well. Before painting such a surface, it is necessary to first apply a primer. Otherwise, the paint can lie evenly and in some places change its color.
It is better to use liquid primer, as it will easily fill all the pores of the material.
