The decoration of any surface begins with its preparation, the ceiling is not an exception. The ceiling should be perfectly even and not have significant flaws, well, of course, it should be clean. Otherwise, the result, and however, the process of gluing on the ceiling of wallpaper or tiles will not be satisfactory.
If any irregularities are found on the surface of the ceiling, they must be rid of them. To do this, use plaster. First you need to prepare a plaster mixture thoroughly stirring the plaster powder with water. The water should be clean, and in no case do not contain large objects. You can stir the solution with a drill with a special nozzle.
After the solution is ready to apply it to the ceiling, while doing it as quickly as possible due to the fact that it may grasp. By the way, therefore, you need to knead the solution in small portions. It is better to knead the solution twice than to throw half the solution from one large batch.
As soon as the solution applied to the ceiling hardens, you can immediately proceed to the final stage of aligning the surface of the ceiling. The final stage includes the putty of the surface. Putting the ceiling, in principle, is no different from putting the walls, here you also need to apply a thin layer of putty, which should not exceed a thickness of two three millimeters.
After this layer freezes it needs to be polished to a perfectly flat surface, and then cover the ceiling with a primer, which will give it additional strength. Despite all the similarity of the putty process, work with the walls differs significantly from the ceiling in that they are much easier, since putting up and plastering the ceiling requires a lot of effort and time.
